Less than a year after the launch of the EOS Rebel T1i canon has launched the latest in Canon's hugely popular consumer SLR range, the Rebel T2i.
The T1i and T2i Canon appear to be pulling away slightly from the real 'entry level' (a sector driven almost entirely by price), and the T2i is no exception, outgunning many of the 'upper entry level' and mid range SLRs on the market today in terms of spec. In many respects the EOS T2i is a 'baby EOS 7D'.
The EOS Rebel T1i will be staying in the range for the rest of 2010 as the sister product to the T2i.
Our team on the sales floor have enjoyed getting to know the T2i the past few days and we found the improvements from the t1i with the HD video being upgraded to full HD at 1080p and the addition of the sensor that is similar to (but not the same) as the 7D to be the biggest advantages of the newest addition to the entry level slr market. It is the most highly-specced Rebel we've ever seen.
